L’EPICIER

Retail design project for “L’Epicier” in the Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva. In this premium location surrounded by luxury hotels facing the lake we were commissioned to design a contemporary Italian “Delicatessen”. We wanted to give roots to this new Italian “épicerie” with references to traditional cabinetry while keeping a modern feel to the premises. To achieve this ambitious goal we mixed authentic materials with recent technologies and know-how. Traditional zinc work and natural stones were combined with black lacquered steel frames, classical carpentry with very technical LED lighting and mirrors. The project also included the creation of the brand’s visual identity and packaging of what became “L’Epicier”. This part of the work was done in collaboration with the graphic designer Stéphane Métroz.
