FLOOR TWO BAR

Interior design project for the refurbishment of the FLOOR TWO BAR at Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva. This notorious bar has one of the best views on the lake and looks out on the famous water jet. The two main goals were to improve the view experience for the clients as well as refining the atmosphere through design and lighting while leaving almost the entire interior structure untouched. Within a tight budget we took every opportunity given by the existing interior features and enhanced the bar’s curved design. Brass details, curved mirrors, new tables and seating were added. An imposing bar, bottle shelving and DJ booth now draw the attention, while we kept in mind never to break the view of the lake for the clients. Lighting itself was one of the most important features to be designed as the bar had to be welcoming from 5pm to 11pm. Starting with an afterwork atmosphere evolving into a dancing mood as the evening unfolds.
